Healing information
Spiritual healing is a process that attempts to reach the spiritual roots of the personality in order to provide a total healing. Spiritual healing has been a form of healing since the beginning of recorded history. It is documented in all major civilisations and cultures. From the first century BC conventional medicine began to develop and largely eliminated spiritual and psychological healing by the 18th century.
Despite this huge drop in the level of spiritual healers a few still remained to practise. The process started up again in the years 1939-45, following the world war. There were a few hundred accredited healers working in Britain again in the early 1960s. This growth in spiritual healers continued to grow and today there is an estimated 20,000 spiritual healers in the United Kingdom. A large majority of who belong to responsible healing organisations like the National Federation of Spiritual Healers.
The process of spiritual healing involves the channelling of energies by the healer to re-energise the patient in order to deal with illness or injury. It has been fund that healing helps with the speed and extent of recovery. This can be from serious illness, major surgery and from the harsh effects of treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy. It is very successful at complementing conventional modern medicine. |
